How much is an MOT with you?
MOT testing starts from £40, including the test and certificate. If repairs are needed, you get an itemised quote and a free re-test within 10 working days.
Can you do the MOT at my house?
The official MOT has to happen at a DVSA-approved test centre, so no one can test on your driveway. What we do instead is collect your car, take it for the test, handle any repairs, and return it — you do not have to go anywhere.
What happens if my car fails?
We explain exactly what failed and why, in plain English, with a parts-and-labour quote for each item. We tell you honestly what must be fixed to pass and what is only advisory. Many failures can be fixed the same day and re-tested for free.
Can you check my car before the MOT so it passes first time?
Yes — a pre-MOT inspection covers the common failure points: tyres, brakes, lights, wipers, suspension and emissions. Around a third of failures are small things you could fix cheaply beforehand, which is exactly what the pre-check catches.
When can I MOT my car without losing time on my certificate?
You can test up to a month (minus a day) before your current MOT expires and keep the same renewal date. Booking early gives you time to fix anything that comes up without driving untested.
