The honest bit

Small fleets get two bad options. We're the third.

When a van goes off the road, it isn't an inconvenience. It's a day of jobs cancelled, a customer let down, and a driver sat at home on full pay. Recent research puts the cost at around £1,172 a day, and the average van-dependent business loses six and a half days a year to it.

Most small fleets end up with one of two options. The main dealer, where you're booked in three weeks out and speaking to a service advisor who has never seen your vehicle. Or a national chain, where you get a different technician every visit and nobody remembers that the same van has been back twice for the same fault.

We're the third option. Two mechanics, one workshop in Dudley, and a genuine working knowledge of every vehicle on your fleet.

If you're big enough that vehicle downtime hurts, but not big enough to have someone whose job it is to manage it, this is built for you.

How it works

From the first look to a fleet that just runs

  1. Step 1

We start with a look at what you've got

Bring the fleet in, or we'll come and look it over at your yard. We go through each vehicle, check its condition and history, and give you an honest picture of where everything stands. No charge for that, and no obligation afterwards.

  2. Step 2

We build a schedule around your work, not ours

Services and MOTs planned in advance and spread out, so you're never short two vans in the same week. Weekend and early morning slots where that suits you better.

  3. Step 3

We remind you before things are due

Services, MOTs, cambelts. You shouldn't have to track it, and you shouldn't find out from a DVSA letter.

  4. Step 4

You get one point of contact

Ours. Direct mobile, or WhatsApp if that's easier. Photos and video of anything we find, so you can see the worn brake disc rather than take our word for it.

  5. Step 5

You get a full digital record for every vehicle

Everything we do, when we did it, and what we recommended. Useful for compliance, useful at resale, and useful when a driver insists the noise has "only just started".

The bit that actually matters

You get Elliot and Keith

Every fleet provider will tell you about their processes. Here's what you're actually buying.

Keith

Keith has spent over 40 years on the tools and is a qualified MOT assessor. He has seen every failure mode these vehicles have, usually several times, and he can tell you what a van is going to need six months before it needs it. There is very little that surprises him.

Elliot

Elliot handles diagnostics, servicing and the awkward jobs other garages send away. Electrical faults that nobody else could pin down, DSG gearboxes, wet belts, intermittent problems that only happen on a Tuesday. If a van keeps coming back with the same warning light, he's the one who finds out why rather than clearing the code and hoping.

Between us, that's the whole fleet operation. Not a rota. Not a call centre. When you ring, you get one of us, and we already know which van you mean.

That matters more than it sounds. After six months we know that the silver Transit eats front tyres, that the 68-plate has a slow coolant loss we're keeping an eye on, and that one of your drivers is heavier on a clutch than the others. That knowledge is what stops small problems becoming recovery trucks.

Why small fleets stay with us

  • Downtime is the thing we optimise for. Not price, not paperwork. Getting your vehicle back to you working, quickly, and stopping the next fault before it happens.
  • We tell you what can wait. If a van needs work now, we'll say so. If it can safely go another few months, we'll say that too. We'd rather have your fleet for ten years than sell you one unnecessary job.
  • We fetch the vans, you keep working. The work is done on the ramps at Turner Street, and we collect from your yard and bring the van back. Free, and planned around your drivers' shifts so the van is away when it is not earning.
  • We're local, and we stay local. We're in Dudley. If something goes wrong, you know exactly where to find us.

This is built for you if

  • Small businesses running anything from 2 to 20 vans, cars or light commercials
  • Builders, trades, couriers, care providers and other mobile services
  • You want servicing and MOTs planned around your working week, not ours
  • You'd rather ring a mechanic who knows your vehicles than explain it to a call centre

When we're not the right call

  • Large national fleets needing centralised billing and account management. We're built for local businesses
  • HGVs and anything over 3.5 tonnes. We cover vans, cars and light commercials

We'll always tell you honestly if someone else is a better fit.

Fleet questions

How small is too small?

We work with businesses running two vehicles and businesses running twenty. If your vans earn your money, you're the right size.

How much does a van off the road actually cost?

Recent research puts it at around £1,172 a day, and the average van-dependent business loses six and a half days a year to it. Small fleets get hit hardest, because one van down is a large share of the business, not a rounding error. Most of those days come from faults that were visible weeks earlier.

What actually takes vans off the road, and the scheduling mistake behind it

Can you work on any make?

Yes. Ford, Vauxhall, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Peugeot, Citroën, Renault, Toyota. Vans, cars and light commercials.

What happens if a van breaks down during a job?

Ring us. We'll tell you straight away whether it's something we can get to you for or whether it needs recovering in, and we'll prioritise getting it back on the road.

Emergency breakdown support

Do the vans have to come to you?

Whichever suits you. Drop the van at Turner Street or we collect it from your yard and bring it back, free. The work itself is done on the ramp at the workshop. If a van will not start, we come out to it.

Do we have to sign up to anything?

No. Start with a conversation and a look at your vehicles. If it works, it works.

Let's have a look at your fleet.

No sales pitch and nothing to sign. Tell us what you're running and we'll give you an honest view of what it needs.
