Yes, stop-start cars need an AGM or EFB battery rather than a standard lead-acid one, and many also need the new battery electronically registered to the car. We carry both types and do the coding at the kerbside where the car needs it.
How do you know it’s the battery and not something else?
We test before we sell — battery condition and the charging system both. If the real fault is the alternator or a parasitic drain, fitting a new battery would only buy you a week, so we tell you what’s actually wrong instead.
